Bald Eagles Get Their Second Chances!

Kim Herzog prepares to release one of the young eagles.
Four juvenile bald eagles, former TRC clinic patients, were released at Colvill Park in Red Wing, MN. Young eagles that miss their opportunity to learn critical hunting skills from their parents benefit greatly from being released near open bodies of water that are often frequented by adult eagles. The youngsters can learn by observing the experienced hunters and may even be able to steal a fish or two!
This young eagle began to explore her new habitat right away!
