One of our education Eastern screech-owls, Mestaae, took a bath.  Bathing is a very important activity to keep feathers healthy.  Mestaae weighs about 150 grams; that is the same weight as an average apple!  Mestaae is also a part of our Adopt a Raptor program; adopting an ambassador bird is a fun way to support the work of The Raptor Center. Adoption gifts help feed, house, and provide medical care for these education stars, who because of extensive injuries cannot be released back into the wild.
