It is with a very heavy heart that we write to tell you that longtime volunteer coordinator Vivian Neiger passed away Monday night. For those of you not monitoring her Caring Bridge site, this may come as a surprise – just last Wednesday, she was planning her next birding trip. Vivian fought cancer valiantly and always seemed to find a new reservoir of optimism. She brought us all along on the journey, finding energy and strength in her dear family and her amazing multitude of friends; joy and promise in the birds outside her window; and peace and solace in the healing comfort of the natural world.She will be so deeply missed by all of us.
